Na'vi Queue

At first glance, you might think the queue is just a long hair braid. It's actually a remarkably intricate system of neural tendrils that can be connected to similar structures of other life-forms. This allows them to sense the energentic and kinetic signals broadcast by creatures, plants, and even the moon itself. It is used on a daily basis to connect to animals that are vital to the success and protection of the clan.

A Humanoid singularly attuned to its environment, the Na'vi do not see themselves as separate from nature, but rather an integral part of it. Humans had a similar interconnectedness with nature long ago.

Who are the Na'Vi?

Who are the Na'vi people?

In the movie they are referred to as the Pandorians by the Humans or "RDA". But their common name is Na'vi or Na'Vi, meaning "the people".

Taxonomy: Homo pandorus

Anatomy: A smooth, cyan color. Long, prehensile tail. Skull is proportionately small, high cheekbones, feline ears, and a protruding snout. Bio-luminescent markings for identification, mood display. Average life span is similar to Human. They have red blood, despite skin color.

Size: The men grow to be about 3 meters tall(~10 feet), while women are a little bit shorter. The waist is narrow and elongated. The shoulders are very wide, creating a V-shaped upper back. The neck is twice as long as humans, and more slender. They are four times as strong as the average human. They have large almond-shaped eyes, that are hypersensitive to various bands of light. Their tail is to balance their long torso and legs.

Range: Various biomes of Pandora. Population concentrated in rain forest regions. Outlying clans have been detected on each continent and in subarctic, swampland, and mountainous regions.

The Na'vi have developed a complex culture based on a profound spiritual connection among all creatures, and to the deity they call Eywa. They are superb artisans, and expert hunters and gatherers.
